I found this painting today for $6. The artist’s name is Sarah Lynn Richards. I found her web site, and much of her work are these beautiful paintings of horses. This painting measures 6″ x 15″ and came matted and framed to dimensions of 15″ x 24″. The painting was also signed on the back. Sarah Richards has a gallery in Rockland, Maine.
I found this painting at a Goodwill for $10. The artist is Jeanine Sudinski. Many of the examples of her paintings were paintings of Dachshunds which she has also been involved with breeding. There was another of her paintings at the Goodwill store as well, but I wasn’t drawn to it. This painting is about 10″ x 14″ and came matted and framed. Jeanine spent 10 years at Chicago’s Art Institute. She appears to currently reside in El Cajon, CA.
I found this painting today. It’s a small watercolor painting of daisies in a terracotta pot. There is no signature that I can see. I even looked on the back. It’s very simple but only cost $1. And it came matted and framed. The painting is about 4.5″ x 6.5″.
I found this painting yesterday at a thrift store while out for a bike ride. But since I was on my bike, I wouldn’t have been able to get it home easily. But I went back today, and it was still there. And it only cost me $2. It’s hard to go wrong for $2. The frame is worth more than $2! Anyway, I thought the painting was pretty cool. Sort of abstracted. I don’t know anything about the artist J Gentle. The painting measures 5.5″ x 8.5″ and came matted and framed.
I found this painting today at a thrift store for $12. It is simply signed “Ali” in the lower right corner. But I already had another of her paintings hanging on the wall at home, so I recognized her signature. The painting measures 12 inches by 16 inches and was matted and framed. I still kick myself for having passed up a small abstract painting of hers that I found at Goodwill store that I could have gotten for a few bucks. I am happy to have a couple of her paintings and will keep an eye out for more.
I found these two paintings today at a Salvation Army thrift store for $4 each. The top painting is 16″ x 20″. The second painting is 16″ x 20″. Both are painted on canvas cover cardboard. Both came in frames. The artist’s name is Sonya Sams. I did a search and was not able to find anything about the artist. I did find someone named Sonya Sams that lives here in the Rochester area, but not sure if she is the one that painted these. If I had to guess, I would say they are painted with acrylic paint.
